Baseball requires a lot of speed, a lot of focus, and a quick reaction time. A hitter must be able to accurately slam a pitch and take off running immediately after. Timing is a very important variable in baseball that determines many different outcomes in the game. Hitting is just one element of the game; every player must be able to catch a ball quickly and accurately.
